Howgate Cheese

Founded in the village of Howgate near Edinburgh, Howgate Cheese was established by Graeme Webster.

After much success, the cheese producer was acquired in 2009 by the Inverloch Cheese Co. Its production was moved to Campbeltown, where creamy Ayrshire cows’ milk proved perfect for this delicious cheese.

Crafted using traditional methods, Howgate Brie is best eaten crisp and fresh, with a firm smooth core and slight ripening at the edges. Our latest launch is Howgate Kintyre Blue, which has won many awards in it’s first year of production. Mild and creamy with widespread blueing, it gives plenty of punchy blue flavour without being too sharp. Both are fantastic artisan cheeses, full of character and distinction.
